What to Bring

Pack smart for four days at Camp Kahoka. Temperatures in Mountain View, AR in July are warm during the day (mid-90s) and cooler in the evenings. Be prepared for outdoor activities and occasional rain.

Electronics Policy: Phones are permitted but use is limited — Youth Conference is a time to disconnect from screens and connect with people. Phones should be put away during all programs, classes, and meals. Music devices may be used in cabins only. Leaders reserve the right to collect devices if misused.

All youth ages 11–18 in the Searcy Stake are welcome and encouraged to attend. This includes Young Men and Young Women from all wards in the stake. Youth must have a completed registration form and medical release form on file to participate.
Bring all prescription medications in their original, labeled containers. List all medications on your medical release form. Medications that require daily administration should be checked in with your ward's medical coordinator upon arrival. Youth with severe allergies (e.g., bee stings, food allergies) must carry an EpiPen at all times and inform their leader.
Please note any dietary restrictions, food allergies, or special dietary needs on your registration form. Our camp staff will do their best to accommodate common dietary needs. For severe allergies, please contact your ward leaders as soon as possible so we can make advance arrangements.
Yes, you may bring a cell phone. However, phone use is restricted during all programs, classes, meals, and after lights-out. We encourage youth to use camp as a time to step away from screens and be fully present. Phones may be used in cabins during free time. Leaders may collect devices from youth who are not complying with the electronics policy.
Transportation arrangements are made at the ward level. Contact your ward Young Men or Young Women president for carpooling and transportation details. Camp Kahoka is located at 734 Ben Cartwright Ln, Mountain View, AR 72560.
Trained first-aiders and medical volunteers will be on-site throughout the conference. A first-aid station will be available at all times. For non-emergencies, report to the first-aid station. In the case of a medical emergency, 911 will be called immediately and parents/guardians will be notified. The nearest hospital is in Mountain Home, AR.
To maintain the spirit and focus of the conference experience, parent visits are generally not permitted during camp. However, parents are welcome to drop off and pick up at designated times. If there is an urgent family matter, please contact your ward leaders who will communicate with camp staff.
Please follow the standards outlined in For the Strength of Youth. Clothing should be modest, appropriate for an outdoor camp setting. Swimwear should be modest (one-piece or tankini for girls; board shorts for boys). Offensive graphics or text on clothing are not permitted. When in doubt, choose modesty.
